About Us
Beit HaDerekh is a Messianic fellowship in West Texas exploring the Hebraic Roots of the Biblical Faith. We believe in the King Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus) of Nazareth and also believe in observing the Torah. Established in 2006, Beit HaDerekh is a member of the IAMCS (International Association of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues).
The question is often asked, "What would Jesus do?" Yet, the answer is really quite simple: Torah. Observing the Torah is really about adopting a biblical lifestyle that reflects Yeshua to the world. Contrary to popular misconception, it is not about 'earning salvation' or 'working your way to heaven.' It is about love. All 613 commandments can be summed up in that one word.
Our doctrine is simple, "Hear O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is One." (Deuteronomy 6:4) Our congregation is open to all: Jew, Christian, religious, non-religious, truth-seekers, the 'just curious', shy, outgoing, rich, poor, etc. Hungry? Our meetings on Shabbat are almost always accompanied with amazing buffets of food. One interesting aspect of Beit HaDerekh is that everyone seems to be a gourmet chef. We have a tradition that you don't gain weight on the Shabbat!
Beit HaDerekh is about understanding the Word of God. We look into the history, culture, tradition, and language of the Bible to unlock the writings of Moses, the Prophets, and the Apostles! In the midst of wonderful people, nice meals, and education, there is FUN! Come and learn how Biblical Hebrew can unlock the Bible, including the New Testament.
The most enriching experience in life is to worship the true God with all of your heart. When we give our entire heart, we connect to the Infinite. You are invited to come and fellowship with us as we seek the Lord with all of our heart, soul and might! |
